The Other Campbells

Writer's picture: Courtney CampbellCourtney Campbell

It's weird when Ralph and I talk about some of our closest friends, the Campbells. We forget sometimes that they have the same last name as us, but have no blood relation. Make no mistake though; we are family in a better way. We are deeply united through our relationships with Jesus.

I have talked about this sweet family on my other website as they played a role in our initial desire to move to TN. As I share in the, "The Journey", God had different plans for our family than the other Campbells, but it didn't break our friendship. We continue to visit whenever we can.

Our families blend super easily. This is one of the very few families that we can get together with and have very little interruption. The kids get along so well and are always anxious to spend time with each other. The adults are just as excited to have quality adult time. We all love learning, creating, working, cooking, and playing together. There's nothing we haven't found yet that the Campbell Clan can't do.

Though it was a shorter visit than all of us wished, we were able to squeeze in a couple nights before heading to do another portrait session in TN on our way back to our home state of Florida. After spending two weeks in Western New York to do a bunch of hired photography work, we were ready to be home, but couldn't resist visiting when they were only about two hours from my other booked session in Tennessee.

I have taken a couple photos of the kids when they first moved to Tennessee, but never the family. Ben's parents were also visiting so I offered to include them in the fun. They were happy to join and have photos with their grandkids!

I don't want to ever do life without this family. They are so precious to all of us.

I've wanted to get my camera on these two for years. I could see their chemistry and photogenicability (Yes, I just made that word up.)

A few favorites of their amazing kiddos and grandparents,

I can't help but share a few photos from our hike while during our visit in addition to the family photos we decided to do last minute the morning we had to leave.

And lastly a few photos my niece, Sami took. :)

If you're interested in hiring me, including out of state, go to my contact page, and let's chat! :)
